How a Roundup Cancer Attorney Can Help

Serious health problems from a company as large as Monsanto demand serious attorneys

Friday, June 9, 2017 - Onder Law's Monsanto Roundup cancer attorneys are seeking compensation on behalf of persons and family members who have suffered from Roundup cancer including non-Hodgkin lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and leukemia. Roundup Monsanto's Roundup Ready herbicide is the most heavily used weed-killing chemical in the world and the World Health Organization has labeled its main ingredient, glyphosate, "probably carcinogenic to humans." When glyphosate is sprayed on a crop, it not only attaches itself to the crop but can also bioaccumulate in the soil and water. Each and every year Americans are exposed to an ever-increasing level of this deadly chemical. Farmers and other industrial users of Roundup Ready are getting all types of cancers including "non-Hodgkin's lymphoma" in record numbers and many are suing Monsanto for failing to adequately warn them about the cancer dangers.

Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma

Cancer, in general, is a disease where the body's cells grow out of control. Cancer can start anywhere in the body and spread to any part of the body. Cancer cells growing out of control are called a tumor. A tumor's growth effects the functioning of the organ where the growth is located such as the pancreas, liver or kidneys. Lymphoma is a type of cancer that starts in the white blood cells which are called "lymphocytes." Lymphocytes are a vital component of the body' immune system also known as the lymphatic system, and when the lymphocytes are compromised by cancer, the body is unable to fight off infections and other diseases.

Lymphocytes come in two types B and T. Type B lymphocytes are "B-Cells", and T lymphocytes called "T-Cells." B-Cells manufacture protein antibodies that protect the body against germs, bacteria, and viruses. B cells are marker cells that attach themselves to bacteria and germs, marking them for destruction by other cells.

T-cells are the cells that attack the germs and bacteria marked by the B-cells. B-cell lymphoma is the most common form of lymphatic cancer, more so than T-cell lymphoma.

Lymphocytes tissues are found throughout the body and this is probably why it is the most common form of cancer. The major places in the body where lymph tissue is located are the lymph nodes, spleen, bone marrow, thymus, and digestive tract. Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma usually starts in one of these areas. All non-Hogdkins lymphomas can spread to vital areas of the body when left untreated such as the liver, brain and bone marrow and cause death.

How Can You Tell if You Have Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma?

Www.cancer.org lists the following as early warning signs that you may have contracted cancer:

Swollen lymph nodes

Fever

Sweating and chills

Weight loss

Fatigue (extreme tiredness)

Swollen abdomen (belly)

Feeling full after only a small amount of food

Chest pain or pressure

Shortness of breath or a cough

One of the more obvious signs of potential non-Hodgkin's lymphoma is swelling as the lymph nodes become enlarged. The lymph nodes that are close to the surface of the skin and most noticeable when swollen are located in the neck, groin, and armpit.

But more than anything else, if you have used the chemical Roundup Ready as a farmer, landscaper, outdoor maintenance person, gardener, or is you have worked in a retail environment that sells Roundup Ready where you may have been exposed to the chemical, you need to get to a doctor immediately and get a cancer screening. Early detection of all cancer is vital and can save your life. If you wait and cancer spreads to other vital organs like the brain, pancreas, liver and kidneys, it may be too late and untreatable.
